Wondrous Works II

How amazing are the deeds of the LORD! All who delight in him should ponder them. Psalm 111:2 (NLT)

By the breath of God ice is given, and the broad waters are frozen. Job 37:10

On a recent frosty morning, long before sunrise, I went outside to warm up the car and was once again treated to a spectacular glimpse into the artistry of our amazing Creator. If I had lots of time and a lot more skill, I couldn’t paint something as detailed and remarkable as this.

Ice on the glass pictured above most likely formed from water vapor, not rain. This water went from gas to solid ice without changing to the liquid form. Glass tends to cool faster than many other materials such as plants, or even the surrounding ground surface. Amazingly, frost can form on glass even when the temperature is above 320F due to the properties of evaporation and glass not being able to retain heat.

Sometimes I don’t have to hike deep into the mountains to find another of God’s amazing deeds. I encourage you to look for a few close by today. And be sure to take a moment to consider the One Who created it all.

Hope you have a great day.
