Bull Elk II

“Behold, I am sending you out as sheep in the midst of wolves; so be as wary as serpents, and as innocent as doves. – Matthew 10:16 NASB20

Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account. – Hebrews 4:13 NIV

Don’t let anyone capture you with empty philosophies and high-sounding nonsense that come from human thinking and from the spiritual powers of this world, rather than from Christ. – Colossians 2:8 NLT

“But he who endures to the end shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come. – Matthew 24:13-14

As I’ve mentioned in earlier posts, checking out pictures captured by my trail cam can be a bit like opening a surprise gift – I just never know what I’m going to find.

For the past few years, I’ve had my camera set up in a certain spot and haven’t caught much worth noting. There is plenty of animal sign in the area, but about all I’d captured thus far were a few blurry pictures of skunks, and a very, very secretive bear. But recently a rather impressive male elk walked by to make a fine addition to my website.

My trail cam even took a few pictures of a hunter walking through the area several hours after this elk. That makes me wonder how many people have pictures of me on their trail cams as I meander around the mountains!

Captured without even knowing what was happening.

Hmm.

The above Scriptures speak of being wary of where we are, what’s going on around us, and what we are doing. And also, not to be captured by the thinking of this world and to be aware of what is ahead for all of us.

The Bible tells of a time when the end of life – as we know it on this planet – will take place. There are some who think that time is not too far away. And, for some people, this event will catch them by surprise. And if captured by surprise, it will be too late to do anything about it.

I, for one, want to be ready. If you are not sure how to get right with the Creator of magnificent animals like the elk pictured above (and a myriad of other things), please see Got God?

Hope you have a great day.
