If you live in snow country, have you ever noticed just how quiet evenings can be during the winter months compared to other seasons?
Where I live, there is a stillness in the air during winter sunsets which is quite different from any other time of year. I might hear a coyote or an owl, but not too often. And maybe a wolf if I’m out a little further. But that’s usually the extent of it. Things seem to be wrapped up tight as most everything is hunkered down in preparation for the night ahead.
I’ve found it is a good time for me to stop and listen.
And be still.
