And it shall come to pass afterward That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your old men shall dream dreams, Your young men shall see visions. And also on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days. And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth: Blood and fire and pillars of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, And the moon into blood, Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the LORD. And it shall come to pass That whoever calls on the name of the LORD Shall be saved. Joel 2:28-32
Two things would have helped me a lot during the recent lunar eclipse:
1) If I had known what I was doing with my new camera, and
2) If it wasn’t 29 degrees F. outside.
Either of these things would have expedited the process of me taking dozens of pictures in the cold, wee hours of the morning, hoping to get at least one worth keeping. As it turned out, I got three good ones out of about the fifty photos I took.
After coming inside and thawing out, I found my computer wouldn’t open the photos due to their format. So I downloaded what folks in the photography world call a “post-processing package”, where I brought some fine tuning to my pictures.
Steep learning curve for me, but things came out okay. People probably have PhDs in this sort of thing. Someday I may take time to read the directions.
Fortunately for me, I don’t have to take a bunch of shots at trying to figure out how to get right with God. Jesus said “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. (John 14:6).
If you’re not sure what Jesus was talking about, please see Got God?
He paid a horrific price for you and me, and got it right the first time.
And I’m so very grateful.
Have a great day.
