Fawns and Chipmunks

A song for pilgrims ascending to Jerusalem. A psalm of David. How wonderful and pleasant it is when brothers live together in harmony! For harmony is as precious as the anointing oil that was poured over Aaron’s head, that ran down his beard and onto the border of his robe. Harmony is as refreshing as the dew from Mount Hermon that falls on the mountains of Zion. And there the LORD has pronounced his blessing, even life everlasting. Psalm 133:1-3 NLT

This summer these two fawns were lying next to our patio when Mr. Chipmunk came scurrying up (see Chipmunk). It appears that he gained the full attention of one of the fawns whilst the other may be giving him the stink-eye!

The interactions of wildlife can be amusing to watch, especially when it involves young animals who may have never seen each other before. This summer we’ve seen quail parents puff themselves up and run off squirrels who had gotten a little too close to their chicks. And we’ve watched some fawns get a little cranky towards a few wild turkeys who got a bit too close for their liking.

The above Scriptures speak of how refreshing it is when brothers live in harmony with one another. And how God pronounces His blessing on that type of unity.

What a good reminder that is to me.

Hope you have a great day.
