Springtime holds sights which can only be experienced for a few weeks each year. Young ones are starting to venture out from their safe hiding places to discover a great big world out there.
I recently saw the above pictured birds – a pair of adult Canadian geese who have successfully hatched out six young (goslings).
The importance of bringing up youngsters is talked about often in Scripture, and many times I catch a small glimpse of that in the animals I cross paths with.
Although I’ve been involved in prison ministry for years, I’m still caught by surprise when an inmate asks for prayer for his dad or brother or sister or uncle who is also in prison somewhere in the country. Of course, as people, we are responsible for our own decisions in life, regardless of how we were raised.
So many truths that apply to the challenges of life are found in the Bible. I wish I’d have paid a bit closer attention to those truths as I grew up. Today I’m most grateful for the guidance of His Word which helps each time I choose to follow it.
