As he traveled he approached Damascus, and suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him [displaying the glory and majesty of Christ]; and he fell to the ground and heard a voice [from heaven] saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting and oppressing Me?” And Saul said, “Who are You, Lord?” And He answered, “I am Jesus whom you are persecuting, – Act 9:3-5 AMP
In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it. … That was the true Light which gives light to every man coming into the world. – Jhn 1:4-5, 9
The people who sat in darkness have seen a great light, And upon those who sat in the region and shadow of death Light has dawned.” – Mat 4:16
Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.” – Jhn 8:12
One Uncommon Light among many, many others.
A light from heaven actually has the power to knock someone to the ground! A light, knocking a man off his feet – that has fascinated me for a long time. Think about this for a moment. If you shined a flashlight at someone, the light beam has no assertive force behind it, and the person won’t feel any power pushing against him.
Unless – the light contains the glory and majesty of Christ!
The Light the Bible is talking about here can actually give life! That is because life itself is in Him to give. Eternal life to all who will make the choice to follow Jesus, the Light of the world.
I hope you will choose wisely.
It is up to you.
