Now may the God who gives endurance and who supplies encouragement grant that you be of the same mind with one another according to Christ Jesus Romans 15:5 Amplified Bible (AMP)
As I mentioned last week, the Lord often allows me to see some interesting sights when I am outside.
I had been working a while on one end of my ditch, and when I returned to the other, I saw this yearling doe resting on the grass. From where she positioned herself, it appeared she was checking to see if I had my lines straight and level for my project.
On this good day the sun would periodically come out from behind the clouds. When I’d glance up, the little doe would have her eyes nearly closed as she warmed up in its rays. I spotted a larger doe not far up the mountain, which in all likelihood was this one’s mother. She too was lying down, though much more attentive toward me than the yearling.
Digging a ditch in the muddy clay has never been on the top of my list of favorite things to do. But I don’t take for granted that not many people in this world get to work with an audience like the one I had that day. The Lord literally gave me endurance and encouragement to finish the task, under the watchful eyes of a couple of deer. And one speedy frog (see Endurance and Encouragement I).
And yes, the ditch is completed! At least I hope so.
Thank You, Lord.
Hope you have a great day.
