Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad and easy to travel is the path that leads the way to destruction and eternal loss, and there are many who enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow and difficult to travel is the path that leads the way to everlasting life, and there are few who find it. – Matthew 7:13-14 AMP
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. – John 14:6
The particular path pictured above is one I often frequented to observe the kokanee salmon spawning in the creek below. I’m not sure how many others used to come this way, or even knew about the path. It’s kind of a secret to a lot of people, but I thought I’d let you in on it.
In the above verses in Scripture, Jesus makes it about as plain as He can that there is only one way to get to heaven and inherit everlasting life. God didn’t make many ways to get there. In fact, there aren’t even two ways. I like that a lot, as I could be easily confused by all the different voices with a platform these days.
One way.
Only one.
For there is only One Who went to the cross to pay for our sins so we don’t have to. His name is Jesus.
If you’d like to know how you can have your own relationship with the Father in heaven (the God of the universe!), please see Got God?
Hope you’ll stay on His narrow path today. When you get to the end of your race in this life, you’ll be glad you did.
Have a great day.
